Dr Carolyn JonesDirector of Chemistry & Innovation, Biological PreparationsFollowing completion of my degree and PhD in Chemistry, I joined my first Biotech company over 25 years ago. I have extensive experience of working in Product Development and Innovation in the Biotech sector as a Formulation Chemist. I have a wide functioning role supporting multiple company functions. I am responsible for new product development, product efficacy, process development and production scale-up. I support our sales team with enquiries and provide technical support to our wide customer base. I oversee regulatory compliance and ensure our products meet our high quality and environmental standards, such as GECA and Global Greentag. I have played a fundamental role in developing the Enviroplus cleaning range and am very proud of our efficacious, highly concentrated, low toxicity range of 4th generation Biotech & Ecotech cleaning solutions. The products we deliver are innovative, high quality and at the forefront of technological breakthroughs. Our ethos is to use simple ingredients that perform well. Safeguarding human health and protecting the planet very much aligns with my own values and drives me to deliver the best solutions possible. Working closely with Abco has afforded great opportunities to be innovative and deliver forward thinking, efficacious, state of the art solutions. I am passionate about the contribution science can make to improving health and wellbeing in addition to helping protect the planet. I have focused my career on working for organisations that use science and technology to really make a difference. Being aware of the challenges that our technology can overcome in a positive and sustainable way is one of the best things about working in the cleaning industry.
